Description

The kit is composed of two PCB “peel and stick” boards, lighting level control dial and universal truck power pickups, and is designed for use in any heavyweight passenger car.  The “light bar” board features 5 equally spaced surface mounted warm white “incandescent” LEDs, and is long enough for use in 60 foot combine and head end cars, and up to 85 foot cars of any type in HO scale.  Designed primarily for Branchline Heavyweight Cars, this kit will work on Coach Yard, Rivarossi, IHC or similar cars.  The purchaser can add up to 10 more LEDs on the “light bar” at his/her discretion; including wiring lugs to install marker lights in observation cars (marker lights not included).  This basic kit also includes our power control board which is designed to fit into common restroom or kitchen/pantry spaces.  The lighting level is adjustable with a control dial which can be installed anywhere in the car.  The kit requires trucks with metal wheels that can pick up track power.  Metal axles and wheels are not included with the lighting kit, the installation directions include instructions for retrofitting cars with plastic wheels and axles.  Specific instructions are included to retrofit D&G and Coach Yard trucks to pick up track power.
